Ugly Christmas Sweaters Onsies and Pajamas Review and Giveaway

Disclosure: I was provided a pair of PJ pants in exchange for my review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

We just finished July - and do you know what July 25 marked? It marked the 5 months until Christmas date. Since I work in a holiday-driven field for my day job, I am always aware of Christmas in July and how it really does remind us that we are on the downhill slide to the big day.

So when UglyChristmasSweater.com contacted me to discuss a review, I was all in. I thought I would be reviewing the sweaters, but when I found out they have Onsies and Pajamas, I was floored. Then I was laughing. I still laugh every time I look at their website. They have THE FUNNIEST options.

Check out some of your choices (please note most aren't truly ugly--they are funny as can be):

Buddy the Elf Onsie
Christmas Vacation's
Sh*tter's Full PJ Pants
Chewbacca PJ Pants
Navy Snowflakes Onsie

I chose to try the PewdiePie Lounge Pants. I can't even tell you how comfortable they are. The inside is fleece lined and both the outside and inside are so soft. These are the kind of pants I can wear all day around the house and never get uncomfortable. They are so amazing.

"Other Bodies" Book by Joel Ohman

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

"Other Bodies" was not the book I expected it to be, but it was worth the read. It's a Young Adult book by Joel Ohman, but young people and adults alike will really like this read. His futuristic dystopian Philadelphia is in some ways eerily similar to present day America. Hattie's life is looking up. She has a new job, new friends and more going for her. She is getting her life back on track. But in a world where AI isn't all that artificial and VR is more real than virtual, you sometimes learn things you didn't want to learn from the body scanning bots. Now Hattie has more big choices to make.

Hattie is a likable character. She's caring and kind, but has a tough as nails exterior that she shows when needed. Her new friends at work are fun people and she's building a new future for herself. Even so, there is always the hint of regret that we see and feel from her. And after she makes new choices, we see the regret growing greater inside of her and threatening to overcome her. Thankfully, her new friends see bits of that regret and pain and do their best to help her work through it.

In the end, it comes down to the question, "How far would you go to undo your greatest regret?" I couldn't get past the idea of that question and found myself staying up late to finish this book as fast as I could. Joel Ohman writes a gripping tale that draws you in and keeps you wanting to see what happens next.

About the author:
Joel Ohman lives in Tampa, FL with his wife Angela and their three kids. His writing companion is Caesar, a slightly overweight Bull Mastiff who loves to eat the tops off of strawberries.

Great news in the world of Christian Music! Mack Brock is releasing his new CD titled "Covered" on March 22, 2019. There are five new studio recordings on this CD. I'm pretty excited because Mack Brock is touring with Hillsong UNITED on their Summer U.S. Tour--that I am going to go see! Just one more reason to be excited about a concert where we get to worship together.
